Black Friday Facts! Do you think you know what Black Friday is?

Think you’re an expert on Black Friday? Here are some fun facts you probably didn’t know:
Many people mistakenly believe that the name Black Friday is derived from the fact that it’s the day when most stores’ revenues rise out of the red (net losses for the year) and into the black (net profits). The truth is that the name Black Friday probably comes from a tongue-in-cheek comparison to the chaos and confusion of Black Tuesday (the day the stock market crashed in 1929).

Black Friday is generally considered to be the busiest shopping day of the year, but this is not always the case. The last Saturday before Christmas is usually the busiest shopping day of the year, but Black Friday always ranks among the top five.

Exact figures are hard to determine, but most experts agree that over 150 million shoppers hit the stores on Black Friday weekend and they spend an average of over $300 each.

More and more people are choosing to avoid the lineups on Black Friday and to do their shopping on Cyber Monday, the unofficial start of the online Christmas shopping season. Other opportunities to avoid crack of dawn lineups and still snag a great deal include check out Walmart’s pre-Black Friday sales starting Saturday, November 7 2009. Each week six exclusive items from Blu-Ray Disc players to Xbox 360 consoles are offered at deep discounts in limited quantities.

Use Hash tags when you Tweet

 1. Use hash tags

Hash tags, keywords prefixed by “#”, beef up a tweet. They can emphasize a word, “classify” a tweet to a particular subject and make it easily searchable.
So:

“Meeting urgent hunger needs is a long term investment…in stability and world peace”

… might be nice, but better to beef it up:
“Meeting urgent hunger needs is a long term investment…in stability and world peace” #g8 #foodaid #hum

The hash tags in this example identified the tweet with the G8 meeting, with food aid and showed we were talking about a hum(anitarian) issue.

The popular hash tags in the non-profit world are

#humanitarian

#hum (as a short for the previous)

#nonprofit

#aid

#activism

#fundraising

#charity

There is no particular place to put hash tags, although most people put them at the end of their Tweet. Clever users integrate hash tags within their tweet to save space without taking away readability of a tweet:

Record level of #hunger and #poverty looms on #G8 agenda

Chitika Research- Update: Months late, Bing Users Still Ad-Crazy

Chitika Research- Update:  Months late, Bing Users Still Ad-Crazy
Research Home Archives Contact

Back in July, we looked at how often Bing users clicked on ads when compared to Google and Yahoo! users. Bing users showed a 50% higher ad click rate than Googlers, so at the time our preliminary conclusion was that Bing’s success was being driven in a big part by Microsoft’s huge, expensive advertising blitz.

Now that December is upon us, and Bing keeps showing its ability to push Google from a technology standpoint, we decided to revisit and see how the numbers were looking. As it turns out, Bing users are still clicking on ads at a prodigious rate – in fact, the CTR of users who come to the Chitika network via Bing is over 75% higher than those who come from Google.

Now, it must be mentioned that Bing is still a distant third place in terms of traffic sent – Google dominates with 84% of search traffic, followed by Yahoo! at 7.40%, and Bing holding at 5.75% (AOL and Ask both have just over 1% of search traffic coming into the Chitika network). However, all things being considered the same, driving one Bing user (or AOL or Ask user) to your site can be more valuable than driving one Google user.

The Raw Numbers:

Search Engine Ad Clicks Impressions Ad CTR % of Search CTR Vs. Google

AOL 42,597 1,706,858 2.50% 1.27% 253.56%

Ask 34,437 1,958,490 1.76% 1.45% 178.65%

Bing 134,536 7,741,724 1.74% 5.75% 176.57%

Google 1,115,452 113,332,938 0.98% 84.13% 100%

Yahoo! 136,506 9,972,035 1.37% 7.40% 139.08%

Numbers are based on a sample of traffic from the Chitika advertising network.

Thank you...   You've heard the expression, "Don't sweat the small stuff."  Unfortunately, it's often the little things that are the most annoying when it comes to your computer.  Here are the best ways to solve the  most annoying computer problems.                                                                                                                                  Q. How can I stop my keys from sticking?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        A. Why is my mouse acting crazy?                                                                                                              A. If your mouse gets sluggish and jerky, it probably needs a good cleaning. After months of rolling around on your mouse pad, it can collect a lot os dust and grit.  Flip the mouse over and remove the ball from indie. Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the ball and the inside of the mouse. You may also want to dip a coton swab in alcohol t clean the little rollers that the ball touches. If you find that you have to clean your mouse often, you may need a new mouse pad.                                                                                                                   Q. Why is everything on my screen so small?                                                                                             A. If your eyesight isn't as good as it once ws, and you have to squint at your screen, simply enlarge your text. Click on your START button, then select SETTINGS and CONTROL PANEl..  DOUBLE-CLICK ON DISPLAY to open display panel.  Click on the tab that say APPEARANCE , and you can choose the font size you want,You can also make the icons on your desktop bigger. In the DISPLAY panel, click on the EFFECTS tab and check the box that says USE LARGE ICONS.                                                                                                                                                       Q. How do I slow down my mouse?                                                                                                             A.  If you're having trouble controlling your mouse because it's just too zipy, you can change the speed.  Double-click the mouse icon in the CONTROL_PANEL. You can change the speed of the mouse itself under the MOTION tab and the speed of the double-click under the BUTTONS tab.                               Q. Where did my taskbar go?                                                                                                                   A. Move your mouse toward one of the edges of your screen- the top, bottom, left, or right- and it should reappear.  To prevent youraskbar from hiding again, click on your START button, then select SETTINGS. Click on TASKBAR&START MENU, and uncheck the AUTO HIDE box.                                              Q. Why did my computer freeze?                                                                                                             A. Freezes, or crashes, hppen for mysterious reasons.  It could be a faulty program or hard drive- or just a fluke.  If all else fails restarting the computer will usually solve the problem.  For more infomration on computer crashesdo a search for the anser on computer crashes..                                                              Be Sure to Leave Your Comments! Its Sad and Disgusting to be forgotten

Today Im going to open my heart up to you all and hope you will have understanding and compassion.. I just read an article posted at 30something and searching. today.com the title was titled Disgusted and it was about this grandmothers 90th Birthday and she has a brother who has never bothered to send her a Birthday card. So of course the rest of her family were disgusted about it. So of course I left a comment and wished her a Happy Birthday even tho she does not know me I still wanted her to know that this stranger cares and does understand and that I hope she lives to see her next birthday. As for that person Im also disgusted with that lowlife . Gosh just a few minutes of time to send a card to show he cares is all it takes. I know it hurts her to be forgotten by him but she should not miss him with all the love that the rest of her family showers on her.... You all just continue to love her and show her you care and hopefully this will make up for her disappointment. One day tho he will come around but by then it will be to late and believe me he will never be able to forgive himself and he will realize the wonderful lady he missed sharing his time with. I know exactly how she feels for Im in the same situation with my daughter and it does hurt to be forgotten by your own flesh and blood . I try not to think about it but its always there in the back of my heart...No cards on my birthday, no calls, no nothing and I even still took it upon myself to write and ask her for help because I have a spine disease called scoliousous my spine is crooked and I walk sort of hunchback going like sideways and eventually I will no longer be able to use my legs so I told her about my poor health and how blogging makes me feel Im doing some good to help care and feed and shelter these stray dogs I take in my small shelter . I told her I blog for donations because I love animals and they cannot help themselves and they need me, but my computer is breaking down on me and I need to get another one prefer a laptop so I can lay down and prop up with pillows because it hurts my back when I sit blogging for a period of time. The pain is to much for me.,and propped up on pillows I can still do my blogging I told her it did not even have to be a new one for her to share her good fortune and send me money to get a laptop or just mail me one. What Happpen as always she ignored my letters. I was desperate and this is why I wrote to her because I thought after so many years when she ws already grown Id sent her money when she was in need so I thought being this was the first time I asked her for help to get a laptop computer to do what I enjoy she would help out. I was disappointed and cried my eyes out when she did not even bother to answer. But I shall not give up I shall ask for donations on my blogs and explain to my readers and maybe some of them will go to http://dogcents.blogspot.com and donate what they can so I can get that laptop to continue to fight to save the dogs. If anyone of you readers care to help me out your help will be greatly appreciate and your kindness shall never be forgotten . Thank you Lilyruth.... @lilruth leave me a message here or contact me at my blogs. I have a blog here at http://dogcents.blogspot.com where you can Donate and I invite you all to visit. Big News- Bing and Yahoo made a Deal

After much talk and a fair deal of decision making, Steve Ballmer of Microsoft signed a deal with Yahoo’s Carol Bartz: A deal that will evolve Microsoft into the world’s 2nd largest search company and turn Yahoo into a media powered advertising broker. Yahoo is all set to hand over searching to Microsoft, who will in turn pay them a share of future revenue.
Here is the deal broken-down and analyzed by the key players:
Microsoft
What it obtains is far greater search market share in a single day than it could have hoped to gain from organic Bing growth irrespective of how much people may like it. The availability of Yahoo’s search technology to Microsoft will enable them to choose what it might want to make use of on Bing.

Microsoft was able to avoid having to make an upfront payment in order to take control of Yahoo search, as had been rumored for months and hinted at by Bartz herself: She claimed that “boatloads of money” would be required to lure Yahoo search away from the company.
However, the downside of this deal for Microsoft are that it may have to bare the loss of relationships with advertisers on search ads, although it preserves its display ad sales operation at least for the time being. Apart from this it seems that Microsoft has emerged from this deal rather clean.
What’s next? Intense competition with Google. This only means that the 2 superpowers have even more reason to detest each other
Yahoo
For an outsourced search engine, Yahoo is paying below market rate. It will receive 88 percent of future search revenue from Microsoft- A better ongoing deal than expected as per IDC. It also receives a guaranteed amount of search revenue for one and a half year and gets to market all the search ads on both Yahoo and Microsoft properties. Plus, it gets to save money- One of the main priorities for Bartz and new Yahoo CFO Tim Morse. The company estimated a $200 million saving in capital expenditures and see an overall benefit of $500 million in operating income
But what Yahoo loses is the ability to control its own fate when it comes to search which still is the most profitable division of online advertising by a large margin. Yahoo’s search revenue is now dependent on the performance of Bing for a decade which is considered an eternity in the Internet world! Moreover, 88 percent of something is not 100 percent of something.
What the future holds is probably another reorganization and a large number of departures as talented search engineers view their options among Microsoft, Google, Ask.com, and start-ups.

More attractive earning calls are expected where Bartz can pin point to the cost savings from the deal, and the formation of a long-term plan for the company that avoids dropping businesses.
Google
What Google gets is time. This deal is scheduled to take months, probably even years, to complete and it will be a complicated process of integration. It is highly likely that Google sales representatives called and reminded all of their major clients of the uncertainty that shadows this integration process and the fact that their ad money may be better invested with the more stable property. Google also gets to counter some of the antitrust scrutiny that has been sent its way by detecting and stating that a combined Yahoo-Microsoft search operation has a fair share of the market
On the other hand, it forfeits the ability to play Yahoo and Microsoft search off each other. The fractured competition meant it would have been much more difficult for either company to create noteworthy inroads against Google individually. It also transforms Microsoft into a credible technology threat with Microsoft’s right to select the best of Yahoo’s search technology developments and blend them with Bing, which is pretty well-receive
What’s to come: For now at least, business looks to carry on as usual. Google never intended to cede its search lead prior to the declaration of this deal, and there is certainly more pressure to keep up to that promise now, over the following several years. It’s not something that was not expected in broad View.
Consumers
The only benefit receivable to consumers is ‘Powered by Bing’ search results on Yahoo pages. To be precise, consolidation is viewed as a negative for consumers, as it limits one’s choice
At this point, with multiple details left to be hammered out, the consumer impact of this deal is certainly not obvious. Many would like to argue that if Yahoo was not really committed to search, consumers would view better search results with time on Yahoo pages that are powered by Bing. To add to this, indirect benefits to consumers are part of the package of having advertisers that are not chained to a single search engine. But this is more about setting Yahoo free to concentrate attention on its other businesses and providing Microsoft with more market share in order to force Google into playing cautious on search, which could reduce some of the pressure Google is piling on Microsoft with projects like Google Apps, Android, etc
The impact of these decisions will take a considerable period of time to come down to the level of the consumer with the assumption that the government embraces the deal.
Advertiser
Assuming ad spending becomes a trend again taking into consideration the current economic conditions, advertisers will get a credible 2nd option for their ad spending. A renewed pitch on the benefits of Internet display advertising is also in store for them. This probably still does not revolve on Madison Avenue but may one day begin to make sense for the Internet advertiser.
The negative points of the deal from the advertisers perspective are that there are high chances that the relationships between advertisers and the 2 companies will become highly complicated over the next few months as those who used to work with certain representatives transfer their business to new ones. Although, these issues are not of prime importance, they can be frustrating.

In the future however, if the ad market ever returns, there will be a renewed competition in search advertising for keywords, placement, and reach. Source: Tech Frog and Tech News.....

What is Bing? Using Bing Search Engine

One of the most important tools for blogger is search engine. It is really very important for each of blogger. There are so many efforts that Bloggers do to get into first page in Search Engine Result Page (SERP) for targeted keywords. And luckily, this most important thing could be optimized by free. Right now, the biggest search engine in internet world is still Google, then followed by Bing (Microsoft) search engine in second place, and in third place is Yahoo search engine. Blogger usually only use these three search engine for their blog traffic source.
My assumption above may be wrong but that is what I do for my blog regarding to search engine at least. Of course I already use these entire three search engine as tolls for this Online Knowledge blog but I will only share what I do in Bing (Microsoft) search engine in this article. There are three things that I already do in Bing (Microsoft) search engine for this blog, which are:

Submit Blog URL into Bing
It is first step that I do for faster blog indexing in Bing (Microsoft) search engine. I go to Bing site submit page and submit my blog URL in submit form. It is more likely to introduce this Blog with Bing (Microsoft) search engine, so Bing (Microsoft) search engine can include this blog in index list. It is really easy. I only need to fill my URL blog and then click “Submit URL” button.

What is Captcha and Do you want to Use it?

A few years back, most bloggers have to deal with unwanted spam comments, especially if they had not enabled comments moderation. Because of such widespread spam comments, most bloggers enabled captcha (word verification) for comments in which case commentators would first have to complete the word like the one you see in the screen shot below:

If you allow comments for your posts and moderate your comments, I would highly recommend you do not enable captcha (word verification) for the following reasons:
Ever since all blogging platforms including Blogger add the "nofollow" attribute to hyperlinks in comments, the incentive for spammers to post spam comments have been greatly reduced and I have found that spam comments have reduced to almost zero
Having to complete word verification is a great inconvenience, especially for the visually impaired who have to click on the universal handicap icon in order for the alphabets in the captcha to be read out in audio form.

In my opinion, captcha is a torture. Why subject your readers to torture when the original reasons for enabling captcha, spam comments, is no longer a problem.

How often should we clean our Registry

On the Internet, you will find several Web sites promoting the use of Registry programs. These Web sites make you aware of the importance of registry maintenance and how registry programs can simplify the process. However, there is very little information available on how often you need to scan the registry.

Quite often, we hear people asking you to clean up your registry on a daily basis. However, the truth is that there are no specific set norms that control how often you need to clean your Windows Vista registry.

In fact, the frequency of registry repair and clean up activity depends on several factors. For instance, if your computer is new and you do not make any major changes to it, you may not need to perform a registry scan for a long time.

Attention All Bloggers: FTC: Bloggers must disclose payments for reviews

  Monday, October 5, 2009

The Federal Trade Commission will try to regulate blogging for the first time, requiring writers on the Web to clearly disclose any freebies or payments they get from companies for reviewing their products.
The FTC said Monday its commissioners voted 4-0 to approve the final Web guidelines, which had been expected. Violating the rules, which take effect Dec. 1, could bring fines up to $11,000 per violation. Bloggers or advertisers also could face injunctions and be ordered to reimburse consumers for financial losses stemming from inappropriate product reviews.
The commission stopped short of specifying how bloggers must disclose conflicts of interest. Rich Cleland, assistant director of the FTC's advertising practices division, said the disclosure must be "clear and conspicuous," no matter what form it will take.
Bloggers have long praised or panned products and services online. But what some consumers might not know is that many companies pay reviewers for their write-ups or give them free products such as toys or computers or trips to Disneyland. In contrast, at traditional journalism outlets, products borrowed for reviews generally have to be returned.
Before the FTC gave notice last November it was going to regulate such endorsements, blogs varied in the level of disclosures about these potential conflicts of interest.
The FTC's proposal made many bloggers anxious. They said the scrutiny would make them nervous about posting even innocent comments.
To placate such fears, Cleland said the FTC will more likely go after an advertiser instead of a blogger for violations. The exception would be a blogger who runs a "substantial" operation that violates FTC rules and already received a warning, he said.
Existing FTC rules already banned deceptive and unfair business practices. The final guidelines aim to clarify the law for the vast world of blogging. Not since 1980 had the commission revised its guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.
Cleland said a blogger who receives a freebie without the advertiser knowing would not violate FTC guidelines. For example, someone who gets a free bag of dog food as part of a promotion from a pet shop wouldn't violate FTC guidelines if he writes about the product on his blog.
Blogger Linsey Krolik said she's always disclosed any freebies she's received on products she writes about, but has stepped up her efforts since last fall. She said she adds a notice at the end of a post, "very clear in italics or bold or something - this is the deal. It's not kind of buried."   Source: Houston News                                                                                                                                                                   Be Sure to Leave Your Comments! I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.
Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.
Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.                                                                                                                                                                    Be Sure to Leave Your Comments! Gov't seeks ban on texting truckers, bus drivers

I had to post this news for almost all of us text messages to each other. Well it looks like some of us won't be able to text while your driving your car. Hope you find this article interesting.

Thursday, October 1, 2009

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration said Thursday it will seek to ban text messaging by interstate bus drivers and truckers and push states to pass their own laws against driving cars while distracted.
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said the administration also would move to put restrictions on cell phone use by rail operators, truck drivers and interstate bus drivers.
"Driving while distracted should just feel wrong - just as driving without a seat belt or driving while intoxicated," LaHood said at the end of a two-day conference on the problem. "We're not going to break everyone of their bad habits - but we are going to raise awareness and sharpen the consequences."

As a first step, LaHood said President Barack Obama signed an executive order late Wednesday banning all federal workers from texting while driving on government business, driving government vehicles or using government equipment.

The administration also will push to disqualify school bus drivers who are convicted of texting while driving from keeping their commercial driver's licenses.

Researchers, safety groups, automakers and lawmakers gathered to discuss the perils of distracted driving, hearing sobering data from the government that underscored the safety threat as more motorists stay connected with cell phones and mobile devices.

The Transportation Department reported that 5,870 people were killed and 515,000 were injured last year in crashes connected to driver distraction, often involving mobile devices or cell phones. Driver distraction was involved in 16 percent of all fatal crashes in 2008 and was more prevalent among young drivers.

Senate Democrats said support was building in Congress to move against text messaging by drivers. The legislation, pushed by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., would require states to ban texting or e-mailing while operating a moving vehicle or lose 25 percent of their annual federal highway funding.

"It's like driving with your eyes closed," said Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., a proponent of a texting ban.

LaHood declined to endorse Schumer's bill, saying simply that the administration would work with Congress. Many states have questioned the use of so-called sanctions against states that do not pass laws sought by Congress, especially during tough economic times.

"The words 'federal mandate' and 'federal sanctions' do not play well," said Bruce Starr, an Oregon state senator who attended the conference.

Eighteen states and the District of Columbia already have passed laws making texting while driving illegal, and seven states and the District have banned driving while talking on a handheld cell phone, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Many safety groups have urged a nationwide ban on using any handheld mobile devices while behind the wheel.

Bus and truck operators said they would review the plans. Dave Osiecki, vice president of safety for the American Trucking Associations, said his group would work with LaHood "on a comprehensive approach to reducing distractions for all drivers, including professional truck drivers."

American Bus Association President Peter Pantuso said his organization supported the restrictions and most member companies already had policies prohibiting drivers from texting and using cell phones.

The conference attracted families of victims of accidents caused by distracted driving, who urged the government to take a strong stance against cell phone use in vehicles, whether it includes a handsfree device or not. They said technologies that prevent the mobile device from receiving e-mails or phone calls while the vehicle is in motion could help address the problem.

Some researchers cautioned that banning all cell phone use by drivers would undermine the development of in-vehicle safety technologies that alert emergency responders to crashes. Industry officials said a broad public awareness campaign was needed to reach tech-savvy young drivers.

"Everyone our age thinks we're invincible," said Nicole Meredith, 18, of Louisville, Ky., who totaled her car because she was texting while driving.

Computer Tips - Quick Folder Options

  Quick Folder Options

We've talked about hidden files before, right? Browse to the Control Panel, click folder options, blah, blah, blah. Practically drilled into our head by this point eh? Well, let's put the Windows Vista Search Bar to work then, shall we?

If you're switching back and forth between showing hidden files and re-hiding them, then taking a step out of the process should be welcome. So, instead of slogging through menus to get to the Folder Options, why not just type in “folder” in the Search Bar?
The very top selection that pops up will be “Folder Options”.

Why go through the hassle when you can be there now?

Domain Name Registrations – Do This Before Designing!

The major chunk of time, money and resources are spend towards website design and development. And many people compromise on the domain in the process. The domain name is just as important for online success as is a professional web design.

Dot Eco TLD

Who Owns a Domain Name

Owning a domain name is similar to owning a house in real life – everything must be registered under your name, especially if you’re the one paying for it and maintaining it. Some people might think that any domain can be owned in just a snap of a finger....

Who Registered The Domain Name
The internet promises a lot of money-making opportunities. There are a lot of markets being created by the virtual community. As more and more websites are made, more and more people also become curious how to own or register a specific domain name. Th...

How Do I Purchase A Domain Name

So you have finally decided to land on the virtual community and have your own site – before thinking of a name and all the work needed in order to create a site, one thing you need to consider first is purchasing a domain name. But, how do you purchase...Well, the first thing you need to think of would be the name itself. How would you want your site to be named? Think of a name that will best suit the contents of your site and something that would be easy to recall. Example, if your line of business is about selling recycled papers, you may want to choose www.gorecycled.com. This would be easy to recall and easy to type as well.

Think of maybe ten domain names. Why ten? Because the next step you need to do is to try and search if there already is a site like that. Try googling the name you have in mind and see if it has a direct match over something else. If it does, then go to the next until you have all available options left.

After choosing the name, look for a merchant that sells domain names. A lot of them can be found online. Search for them using search engines and you would be presented with a lot of options. These entities are oftentimes called “registrars” as they verify if such a domain name already exists before they guarantee a sale for you.

Try to research for the name of the domain registrar you will be entering an agreement with. Research if there are feedbacks available for this registrar. See if the customer service, rates, products and other services will fit your needs best. Do not be in a rush to enter into an agreement as most of the domain name services actually last for months if not a year of contract. So if you do not want to be tied onto some entity you’re not really sure if would do a great business with, do not even try and risk it. Do your homework first before selecting the registrar of your choice.

Example of Domain Name

A domain name, to put it simple, is your address on the World Wide Web. This is where you put up your website and it is what internet users will type in their address bar in order to locate your site while online. Your domain name should be short, simple and describe what your site is about...

Internet Domain Name Confusion - A Simple Explanation

Nowadays, it is no surprise that you will find someone or something that has the same name. With so many people going online, our creativity is challenged when making a new idea out of nothing.

Blogging and Posting Schedule To Keep the Readers

Not all blogger stay in front of his/her computer for blogging and writing the article. I am one of them who not blogging every day. I write the article more than one in one time, but how to make my article showing or updating regularly for my readers.
In my previous post “……”, I have mentioned that to keep readers in your blog is writing the article regularly, once a day or twice a week, it’s depend to your time and effort. in this case, do you suppose to force yourself to be in front of your computer to blogging, did you make it? I said NO……

I have a trick to maintain the article to be showing at your desire time. FYI, I still do my day job and blogging in the night when I have a time. So, I write two until four article at a time. I write using Microsoft Word first, and then I copy paste to the blog software for posting when I have the internet connection active. But before I click the button “save” or “publish”, I arrange the “timestamp” of the articles one by one.
I arrange to show or post ( arrange timestamp ) five of my article once a day each. It’s mean that my blog will arrange that for 5 days ahead my blog will have a new posting every day. So, I have 5 days to do my other work while my readers have their news every day in 5 days. Its really make me little bit relax and use my time properly. Increase Pagerank with Crosslinks

The professional blogger always consider his/her blog or site PageRank for the increasing the traffic and visitor. One of many techniques to increase the blog or site page rank by cross link.
Crosslink is the link between your pages in your site. By linking your new post to the previous post will also useful to keep your old post visible to the search engine spider or bot. This method also will drive your visitor to your previous post or old post such as my previous post " Ideas to improve your Alexa ranking and boost your traffic" which impact the time of your visitor in your blog or site.
Link every your new post to the previous one to share the new post page rank for the previous one. For the example:
The newest post (A) just write or produce by you, and you put the link to your previous post (B) in the content;
Assuming that post B have link also inside its content to the post C;
Post C also have the link to the post D;
Assuming that post D is the oldest or first post in your site, what you need to do is to edit Post D. Insert link to your new post there.
This method will make all your post like a circulation or circle without brake. According to my understanding, it’will make all of your page’s PageRank will be the same even you only have one or five post/page which have high PageRank.... Be Sure to Leave Your Comments!

Ideas to Improve your Alexa ranking and boost your traffic

I believe that it is very important if you are looking to monetize your blog. It is not the only thing that advertisers look for but it is one of the biggest factors in determining the value for an ad or link on your blog.
The Alexa formula is based on the number of vistors that visit your site and the number of page views. Of course, only those with the Alexa toolbar count as votes. It is kind of like the Nielsen ratings are for television. Sounds pretty simple right, increase the number of visits and the number of pages they view and your Alexa ranking will increase, right? Yes, this is true but there are some other things you can do to boost your Alexa ranking. Here are some ideas.
Install the Alexa toolbar. If you have not yet installed the toolbar, do it now, it only takes a minute and every time you visit your site you will be helping your Alexa rank.
Encourage your blog readers to download the Alexa toolbar. Just like I did just now! The more regular readers that you have that have the toolbar installed the better your ratings.
Attract other webmasters to your blog. You should try to write blog posts about blogging and other topics that would be interesting to webmasters as these are the people that will be most likely to have the toolbar installed. Even if you have a mommy blog or personal blog, you can sprinkle in some blogging posts to get the tech savvy visitors to stop by.
Become active in webmaster forums. I am sure you notice a theme now, the more webmasters you get to your blog the better your Alexa ranking. Join forums like Digital Point and Bloggeries and be sure to include your blog link in your signature. These sites also allow you to add an rss feed to your profile that will display your latest feed.
Entrecard and Adgitize- These are two great ways to get get visits from people with the Alexa toolbar. I recommend that you advertise on Adgitize, and you can see the difference.

YouTube lifts music video block

The issue of copyright has dogged YouTube since its launch
YouTube has lifted a block on users viewing official music videos after the website reached an agreement with songwriters' group PRS for Music.
In March, the service blocked thousands of music videos to UK users after failing to reach agreement over fees.
YouTube, owned by Google, is paying an undisclosed lump sum to PRS, backdated until January and lasting until 2012.
Adam Shaw from PRS for Music told the BBC that he was pleased that an agreement had finally been reached.
"We have 60,000 song-writer and composer members and many of them don't earn very much money at all - 90% of them earn less than £5,000 a year," he said.
"The money we receive is really their living."
Sanctioned
YouTube's decision in March theoretically blocked all premium music video content - owned by record labels - in the UK.
However, many fan videos and official videos continued to be available on the site, including some sanctioned by the record labels themselves.

If content owners start to see the video site as just another useful platform rather than a threat, then everyone can start making money
Rory Cellan-Jones
BBC's technology correspondent
Read Rory's thoughts in full
For example, EMI-owned Parlophone recently became the site's most popular UK channel of the year, with 240 million hits, despite the ban.
However, YouTube said the "tens of thousands" of videos which had disappeared "will come back over the next few days".
"The music videos are an extremely popular part of YouTube and this deal doesn't only cover the music videos but also music included in TV programmes like the X Factor and also for the inclusion of music in user videos as well," YouTube's Patrick Walker told the BBC.
The deal will also mean that new material will appear on YouTube as the site signs partnerships with other record labels and guest editors introduce their favourite videos.
Pete Waterman says songwriters should get paid properly by YouTube
'Outraged'
In the UK, PRS for Music acts on behalf of member publishers as a collecting society for licensing fees relating to the use of music.
At the start of the row Mr Walker told the BBC that PRS was seeking a rise in fees "many, many factors" higher than the previous agreement.
He said the two were "so far apart" that YouTube had no choice but to remove content while negotiations continued.
HAVE YOUR SAY
If the public can access videos for free, and the artist still gets paid then it sounds like everyone's a winner
Richard Hill, Birmingham
Send us your comments
At the time, Steve Porter, head of PRS, said he was "outraged... shocked and disappointed" by the decision.
He said the move "punishes British consumers and the songwriters whose interests we protect and represent".
The Music Publishers Association (MPA) joined PRS in urging Google to rethink, while Lord Carter, who was the UK's minister for communications, technology and broadcasting, also waded into the debate.
Giving evidence before the Business Select Committee, the minister said he suspected a degree of "commercial posturing on the part of both parties" but said the row was indicative of a wider issue.
YouTube is the world's most popular online video site but has been under increased pressure to generate more revenue since its purchase by Google for $1.65bn (then £875m) in 2006.
Services such as Pandora.com, MySpace UK and Imeem have also had issues securing licensing deals in the UK in the past 12 months. Be Sure to Leave Your Comments!

Make money at home the easy way

I read this article on the net.daily news on the internet and I thought some of you might be interested in this. I have not tried it yet because I do not have a credit card and seems they do not take paypal. The article read like this: Are online jobs the next big thing? For Mary Steadman it sure is. Mary, a mother of 2, is thriving, in the middle of an economic recession working in the comfort of her own home.

From her website: "I get paid about $25 for every link I post on Google and I get paid every week... I make around $7200 a month right now"

Mary's story is a very familiar one in these tough times. She lost her job as an account rep for a manufacturing company and a few days later her husband also was laid off from his job as part of cutbacks due to the bad economy.

"We knew we had to do something, so we put our heads together and started trying online job opporuntities." Mary and her husband Kevin wound up getting caught up in a few quick rich business opportunities that were nothing more than pyramid schemes before finding something that really worked.

"I realized the best thing to do is instead of hoping that a company that you are looking at is going last, why not go with a big, reputable company. After looking at several different companies, I picked the safest bet... Google."

Online giant Google is a publicly traded company and is worth an estimated $100 Billion. The company has pioneered online search and has changed the way we use the internet.

In a matter of weeks Mary and Kevin had a steady stream of income coming in via checks that were delivered to their home. They happened upon a system called " Google Biz Kit" that taught them how to make money posting links online.

Google Biz Kit is a free course that can teach anyone, regardless of computer skill level to start making money online. It's available for free by clicking here.
Mary even shared with us a picture of the kind of checks she gets from Google each month:

For those of you that have seen the 'scammy' sites on the internet that promise you can make millions of dollars online Mary warns that this is not the promise being made here and that most of those sites are false representations of earnings you can make.

"We never tell anyone they'll make millions of dollars, in fact I think this is the ONLY online system that says you probably WON'T make millions, but you can generate a legitimate income from home like I do that replaced my full time job."Source: the internet... I do hope that if this is for real and you do try it out please be sure to let us know by leaaaving comments once you tried it and letting us know if it worked for you or if it did not work for you either way let us know!!!
