Blogging Tips - Your Mouse

           Say friends sorry I had been away for some time but as I have been teling you al my computer is old and at times it just crashes and does not want to work for me anymore so I have to jiggle this and jiggle that and move this wire here and mover that wire there and turn it on and off and keep messing with it until finaly if Im lucky it will turn on again and start to work again even tho it takes about 10 minutes just to change from page to page and this takes some patience on my part but here Im once again with all of you so I do hope you all missed me and even tho I was gone you all still stopped by and visted with me and read some of my older posts in the mean time. So keep in mind if I do not Post at least every other day that This old computer is having one of its tantrums again and I have to do all the fixing myself even tho I do not know what Im doing for Im not a tech. But I can not afford to get a real tech in here to come and fix it for me, now you understand why I hope you all will want me to post my blogging tips and tid bits of other stuff for you and you will find it in your hearts to click on the donations buttons and give me some small donation to help me save up to get enough to finally get this old computer fixed OR maybe there is one of you outthere who will make me very happy by donating enough money , so that I can finaly get me a NEW COmputer??? To Be Forgotten is disappointing and mostly Sad

           

Today Im going to open my heart up to you all and hope you will have understanding and compassion.. I just read an article posted at 30something and searching. today.com the title was titled Disgusted and it was about this grandmothers 90th Birthday and she has a brother who has never bothered to send her a Birthday card. So of course the rest of her family were disgusted about it. So of course I left a comment and wished her a Happy Birthday even tho she does not know me I still wanted her to know that this stranger cares and does understand and that I hope she lives to see her next birthday. As for that person Im also disgusted with that lowlife . Gosh just a few minutes of time to send a card to show he cares is all it takes. I know it hurts her to be forgotten by him but she should not miss him with all the love that the rest of her family showers on her…. You all just continue to love her and show her you care and hopefully this will make up for her disappointment. One day tho he will come around but by then it will be to late and believe me he will never be able to forgive himself and he will realize the wonderful lady he missed sharing his time with. I know exactly how she feels for Im in the same situation with my daughter and it does hurt to be forgotten by your own flesh and blood . I try not to think about it but its always there in the back of my heart…No cards on my birthday, no calls, no nothing and I even still took it upon myself to write and ask her for help because I have a spine disease called scoliousous my spine is crooked and I walk sort of hunchback going like sideways and eventually I will no longer be able to use my legs so I told her about my poor health and how blogging makes me feel Im doing some good to help care and feed and shelter these stray dogs I take in my small shelter . I told her I blog for donations because I love animals and they cannot help themselves and they need me, but my computer is breaking down on me and I need to get another one prefer a laptop so I can lay down and prop up with pillows because it hurts my back when I sit blogging for a period of time. The pain is to much for me.,and propped up on pillows I can still do my blogging I told her it did not even have to be a new one for her to share her good fortune and send me money to get a laptop or just mail me one. What Happpen as always she ignored my letters. I was desperate and this is why I wrote to her because I thought after so many years when she ws already grown Id sent her money when she was in need so I thought being this was the first time I asked her for help to get a laptop computer to do what I enjoy she would help out. I was disappointed and cried my eyes out when she did not even bother to answer. Same-Name couple to Wed after FaceBook meeting

MIAMI - This October, Kelly Hildebrandt will vow to share her life with a man who already shares her name.
This is no joke. Kelly Katrina Hildebrandt, 20, and Kelly Carl Hildebrandt, 24, expect just over 100 guests at a ceremony at the Lighthouse Point Yacht & Racquet Club in South Florida, where they will become husband and wife.
"He is just everything that I've ever looked for," she said in an interview. "There's always been certain qualities that a guy has to have. And he has all the ones I could think of - and more."
Their modern romance was a match made in cyberspace. She was curious and bored one night last year, so she plugged her name into the popular social networking Web site Facebook just to see if anyone shared it.
At the time, Kelly Hildebrandt, of Lubbock, Texas, was the only match.
So she sent him a message.
"She said 'Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool,'" Kelly Carl Hildebrandt said. "I thought she was pretty cute."
But there were also concerns.
"I thought, man, we've got to be related or something," he said.
For the next three months the two exchanged e-mails. Before he knew it, occasional phone calls turned into daily chats, sometimes lasting hours. He visited her in Florida after a few months and "fell head over heels."
"I thought it was fun," he said of that first online encounter. "I had no idea that it would lead to this."
Months after Kelly Hildebrandt sent her first e-mail, she found a diamond engagement ring hidden in treasure box on a beach in December.
"I totally think that it's all God's timing," Kelly Katrina Hildebrandt said. "He planned it out just perfect."
She's a student at a local community college. He works in financial services. They plan to make their home in South Florida.
It hasn't been all smooth sailing. A trip on a cruise ship almost got canceled when the travel agent deleted one ticket from the system, thinking someone had plugged in the same information twice.
There was also some uncertainty about how to phrase their wedding invitations, so they decided to include their middle names. But any confusion likely won't carry on past the husband and wife. Kelly Katrina Hildebrandt said there are no plans to pass along the name to future children.

Another Note On Disappointment

I was reading over some of my favorite posts from other bloggers recently and came across one of my favorites from Steve Pavlina: 10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job. I’ve mentioned this before Jobs are for Suckers! and it’s still a great motivator for those of you who want to break free from the rat race and take control of your lives.
Near the bottom of the article, though, it struck me that the same advice he gives in the article works well for dealing with disappointment:If any of this makes you mad, that’s a step in the right direction. Anger is a higher level of consciousness than apathy, so it’s a lot better than being numb all the time. Any emotion — even confusion — is better than apathy. If you work through your feelings instead of repressing them, you’ll soon emerge on the doorstep of courage. And when that happens, you’ll have the will to actually do something about your situation and start living like the powerful human being you were meant to be instead of the domesticated pet you’ve been trained to be.
This is great advice. Instead of just letting the disappointments and stresses of life kick our butts, we need to use them as motivation to move forward. Yes, it’s incredibly difficult to change the habits that have gotten us entrenched in bad situations, but if we’re able to channel that emotion, that discontent, that extreme discomfort, into something useful, there are tremendous strides to be made in success, satisfaction, and happiness.

Learning How to Make Money Blogging

There are two major types of business models that
entrepreneurs use to make money blogging. The first
and most common way to turn a blog into a profit
making machine is to sell advertising to different
companies and brands who want to reach that blog's
readers. The second kind of money making blog is one

positive associations between the blog and the product
in the mind of consumers. Both kinds of blogs can

Attention: I'm Back- Hurricane hit Houston Hard

Happy to say Im back online after close to three weeks without no lights or water its been hell. The Hurricane hit us here in Houston very hard, trees were down all over the place. On streets on the roofs of houses on the telephone poles and the streets well you could not get through some of them for all the trees on the roads and some of the streets near the freeways looked like lakes thats how bad they were flooded. I had not seen such a Hurricane like this in years and hope never to see one again. I was miserable without any light, all we had were candles or flashlights or lanterns and did I ever miss my computer and t.v. We all had to get water from places that were donating soldiers rations and bottled water and ice and you were lucky if you could get some ice. I used a small ice chest and kept a few sodas and lunch meat in the chest and luckkkkkkky I was able to find some bread before it was all sold out, also got a few bags of dog food.. If you wanted a Hot cup of coffee youd better have a barbeque grill or propane stove or some kind of burner you could use to heat up your water for your coffee. We also had a curfew put into place and youd better not be on the streets after dark or you go to jail this was because we had alot of looting all over the city. But today finally after three weeks its finally over a little while ago we got the lights back on Hellaluia I never realized how much I missed the lights and my computer and the t.v But now Im back and its back to DOGCENTS and you all know after a Hurricane like this bad one their are alot of abandoned dogs suffering who need food and shelter and medicines, I have several dogs of my own and they also are not eating like they used to because I cant afford it right now altho they are not starving. I asked spca and paws for help but they barely have enough food for the dogs they have so many dogs were left there or their owners left town because of the hurricane and their homes were destroyed or damaged and they can no longer afford to take care of their dogs which is real sad but many lost their homes and have no place to keep their dogs. I myself have sustained damages a tree fell through the front room and there is a huge hole in the roof that I hope someone will help me repair. Fema I hope will help me out. BUt it will only help with certain things and I need help in order to buy some food for the dogs and get them in some type of shelters, and get them some medicines they also need, especially one that has a huge knot right next to his pee pee and that is also swolln as big as a large hot dog I mean its so swollen it looks like a large sausage so come on people dont be so cold hearted please I ask you to please give me a helping hand to save these poor helpless dogs who cannot speak for themselves . I give all I can give but I cannot do it alone I need your help and support what else can I say to you all to help us out besides imagine and picture what it looks like after a bad Hurricane all the destruction, all the large old trees knocked down to the earth like if they were toothpicks and picture all these little dogs with dazed cold eyes wandering around scrouncing for scraps of food to eat trembling with cold and shiverimg with fear, lost alone, until I find them and bring as many as I can home and I try to find them a home but like I said I need your help you can make a difference . Bloggers need help with your Blogs

At some point in our journey with a blog all of us need help. It could be that you have no idea about how to get your blog started. It could be that along the way you hit an obstacle that you just can’t overcome. It could be that you would like to know how to make money with your blog. It could be that you need to know how to make your blog easier to find on the search engines. It could be that you are a business realizing the potential that blogging offers. It could be a lot of things.
The Importance of a Domain Name
After you have decided that you want to start a blog, choosing a domain name is one of the first decisions you have to make (The other early decision is whether you want to use a paid service to host your blog or use one of the free services available. We will talk about this in our next article in the series) . A domain name adds a lot to your site and is also valuable in helping you get noticed on the search engines. For this reason, the choosing of a domain name requires some thought. Here are some questions to think through:
What will your blog be about?
How do you plan on marketing your blog?
Would your name be a good choice?
Is it easy to remember?
Dos it make a difference if it is .com, .org, .net, .info, or .biz etc.?
And you thought choosing a domain name would be easy. Let me walk you through the questions.
What will your blog be about? Your domain name should most likely reflect the content of your blog. If I was going to write a blog about chicken wings (I really like chicken wings) I would consider getting a domain name with chicken wings in it. A name like chickenwings.com.
How do you plan on marketing your blog? In other words, how will you attract visitors to your site? Most blogs rely on the search engines (Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.) to bring traffic them. If you will be depending on search engine traffic then your domain name really needs to have your blog content in mind.
Would your name be a good choice? For most people the answer would be no. Unless your name is already very recognizable, or you plan on using advertising to bring traffic to your blog and not rely on the search engines, you should probably stay away from your name. Having said that, some people have very successful blogs which use their name as the domain name. If you think that your name will eventually be the best brand for your blog then you can go with it. It will require more work up front.
Is it easy to remember? Stay away from long complicated domain names or domain names that are initials. For example, Ireallyreallylovechickenwings.com is to long. IRRLCW.com is impossible to remember. Where the process gets a little tricky is that even after you settle on a domain name, it is probably already taken by someone else. So you have to get creative. Instead of chickenwings.com you may have to go with chickenwingsoline.com.
Does it make a difference if it is a .com or .org or .net etc.? If you can get a .com that works for you then you should get it. However, if the .com isn’t available then the other extensions are fine. This site is a .biz because the .com is being used by someone else.
Once you begin to settle on a domain name you need to see if it is available. I suggest you go to Good News Domains (www.goodnewsdomains.com) and use the free domain checker service. It is simple. Go to the site and where it says “Start Your Domain Name Search Here! just type in your proposed domain name and hit search. Let’s try it with chickenwings:
And here come the results:
Chickenwings.com is taken. So are all the other chickenwing extensions. However, the people at Good News domains have provided you with some options that might work. Chirckewingsonline.com is available, as is chickenwingsblog.com, etc. So there are always options. Sometimes you might be able to find the domain name you really want if you are willing to pay an exaggerated price. I wouldn’t recommend it for most bloggers. You can find a variation of the name you want if you get creative. Why pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for something that shouldn’t cost more than 10 or 15 dollars a year?

What’s the big deal about blogging?

Not too long ago “blog” wasn’t even a word. Then it seemed over night blogging became an obsession. Lots of people jumped on the blog band wagon. Some people thought this was just a fad which would disappear, but it didn’t. Some people resisted blogging and couldn’t figure out what the big deal was…then they eventually understood and started blogging themself.

The reason why blogs are great is because the content is fresh and often updated, it’s easy so anyone can do it, and search engines love blogs. It’s easier to get search engine traffic from blogs than it is websites. This is because of the constant content updates.

A blog can be for personal or business reasons. Some blogs are monetized, while others just want to blog and don’t care about bothering with trying to make money from it. Some people blog simply because they want to. They want to share their opinions or write about what’s going on in their life, kind of like an online journal. A Mom may start a blog just to write about the trials and rewards, the good and the bad of motherhood. She may give advice on parenting and just write about what’s going on with her kids.

A politically active person may blog on politics, trying to persuade people to vote a certain way. A blogger from a certain city may blog about events happening in their area and an investment blog will inform people on investment opportunities and give investment advice. Some blogs are set up to review certain types of products trying to persuade the reader to buy certain products and of course will contain affiliate links so the reader may purchase them.

Basically a blog can be just about anything and anyone can start one for any reason.

There are a few different ways to monetize a blog. 1-Pay Per Click ads such as google adsense or Yahoo. 2- Text Link ads. 3- Selling links for other blogs and websites. 4- Affiliate ads. 5- Paid blog posts.

If your blog gets a certain amount of traffic, there are companies that pay bloggers to write a post. So if you have a blog in a certain niche, a website in that niche will pay you to blog about their website/product/service. Some bloggers are getting paid hundreds a month just writing blog entries.

There are many free blog sites out there you can sign up for. Blogger.com, owned by Google and is one of the most popular. There is also blogspot.com. You can also do a search for blogs and see all the listings that appear. If your blog is going to be professional however, it’s recommended you get your own domain and hosting and install wordpress blogging software.

To improve traffic to your blog, try to exchange links with other blogs. Also to get readers to keep returning to your blog, plus for better search engine rankings, you need to update your blog regularly. Don’t add a new post every month or every 2 weeks.
